Personalized Hand Warmers

So I decided to make the kids their own hand warmers as part of a somewhat homemade Christmas.

Awhile back I got a great deal on this pre-quilted Chrastmas fabric.
One side was flowery..

The other was just holly leaves..

No tutorial as these are pretty simple to make. I cut to desired size, folded in half, stitched up two sides then filled and stitched all around..

The boys get the leaves.

And flowers for miss girlie-girl..

But I did want to add a little somethin somethin to them. To prevent any arguing about whose warmer is whose, I added a little patch with each kids' initial embroidered on it. I also added a handle so we don't have any hot potato issues if they are warmed up too much...

As much as my kids all want PS3s and Xboxes (which they are NOT getting) I think they will like these also..

Colorful little apron

Well let's face it... I'm never gonna get around to writing up a tutorial for this.. and also an apron is pretty easy to make and there are a ton of tutes floating around for aprons...
So I'll just post some pics of it...

Please excuse my dirty floors there.. I have 5 kids here, cut me some slack ok?

Cut out your pocket pieces to whichever size you like...

I tried to use a 1/2" seam allowance, but I usually don't always get it even throughout the entire project...

 This is just for personal use, I'm not trying to sell this or anything, if I was I would be alot neater...

Press and pin...

Sew up your pockets..

Attach pockets to already sewn apron, apparently I didn't get a pic of making the apron itself.. Any future aprons I may make will probably have the pockets sewn on to the apron front first and then the backing so that the backside is clean of stitching..

 Sew the straps on...

And here ya go!

Don't I look all Betty Crocker-ish? Ha....
