No pinching here!

Well I couldn't let just one kid be festive in their St Patrick's Day gear... On Wednesday night, yes I am a huge procrastinator I know, I decided the other 4 kids needed something green to wear since K already had a shirt. So I whipped up a few shirts for them.
The older boys got spray paint graffiti-ish shirts.

Lil B's shirt was a little short so I added a strip of green from a scrap tee.

These were done with freezer paper, instead of using it as a stencil and trying to cut out all the little pieces I just put the design on and sprayed over it. Let it dry, take off the freezer paper and throw it in the wash. Super easy!
If you've never tried spray painting on shirts, try it! It's fun and you can do just about anything with it. And once you wash it, the paint isn't stiff at all..

Since that used up what little bit of green spray paint I had, I did felt appliques for the other two.
First up is T's. Since green happens to be his favorite color, he loved this!

On to Miss B, hers had to be a little girlie so I used purple felt and green thread.

I did hers a bit differently because by that point, my hand was getting cramped from the detailed cutting. Plus I didn't want all of them to be exactly alike.

Maybe next year I won't put this off till literally the last minute and I can be a little more creative with them.. Haha we will see...

And as always, I will be linking up to some of these great linky parties.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

A huge shoutout and THANK YOU to...

Cristil!
She is the owner of Lil Stein Styles Etsy shop and also blogs at Then There Were Five. She has the cutest little things in her shop and a great selection of boy stuff, a huge plus in my book! And always has interesting posts with plenty of pics of her beautiful family.
So anyways I bet you're wondering why I'm giving a shoutout to Cristil??
Well about a week ago I won a giveaway over at Lu Bird Baby, it was a Lucky shirt from Lil Stein Styles Etsy shop.

So I contacted Cristil and gave her my info, but I forgot to mention in my email that I need a MR lucky shirt not a MISS lucky. I just gave her K's name and size, not really even thinking that K's name could actually be a boy or girl name. So a couple days later I receive a lovely package in the mail. I pull it out and it is perfect, wait a minute.... Oh no, it says Miss Lucky.. So I email Cristil and let her know the mistake and ask if there is anyway the shirt could be remade. Being a giveaway item and personalized with an oddball name like K's, I fully understood if she chose not to. To my great surprise I received an email back within minutes saying that she would remake the shirt and have it to me asap!!! So just a couple days later, I got another package in the mail and this time it was absolutely PERFECT!! And it was in time for St. Patrick's Day, Mr K is wearing it as I type this up!

(The shirt is not actually smudged, lol, I did that just so you know)

Anyways I just want to thank Cristil one more time and to let my readers know what a great lady she is. If you are looking around Etsy, please have a stop in her shop. The customer service is fantastic and the quality of her products are top-notch!

Have a great day everyone!

(I am in no way being compensated for this post, I just wanted to share her with you)

I'm a real blog now!!

Big news everyone!
Killing Time has it's first sponsor! Yay! I am so excited about this and so happy to introduce you to the fabulous Chrissy from Whimsical Poppysmic and Chrissy in America. But if you've been around for a bit, you might remember her from here where she gave me an award.

In September 2010 after meeting and being inspired by so many talented ladies Chrissy rediscovered her love of all things crafty and started her blog Chrissy in America.

She especially loves knitting, embroidery, felt...all things whimsical! Chrissy also has her own Etsy shop Whimsical Poppysmic that she opened after showing some of her creations on her blog and seeing all the positive feedback she got!

Photobucket

Chrissy in America is full of great posts like Friday's Fashion Statement, Saturday's Saying and the popular Awkward & Awesome that I've seen around a few places.
I would specifically like to show off this embroidered bunting decoration she made for her craft area.

Isn't that fabulous??

And she has some great things in her Etsy shop Whimsical Poppysmic.

Like this headband

This Owl ornamnet

And if you know anything about me at all, you know I love skulls!!
Check out this felt Skull phone case

So please welcome Chrissy to the Killing Time family everyone and please go have a look around, you might just find a new friend and something you can't live without!
